In Year 2 we are inquisitive learners. We enjoy looking at a question, picking it apart and then interpreting what it might mean through different experiences and learning opportunities. We also like challenges and growing our mind-set so that we can choose different ways to solve a problem. This helps us to develop our perseverance and our resilience to things we find tricky. We have developed a set of class rules for being resilient which involves using your brain, buddy and then your boss! This positive attitude to our learning enables us to be independent and set a good example to younger children in Key Stage 1.
In the Autumn term Year 2 will be wondering: How far can I go? We will be enjoying a workshop led by Florence Nightingale. We cannot wait to find out more about her and see what she might have to do with our big question. We will also be thinking about our bodies and how we can stay healthy and make good choices. A local bakery will be visiting us to help us to make healthy sandwiches. Also, we will be inviting you to help us commemorate Remembrance Day in a special showcase of our learning!
