At Wath C of E Primary School, we use a mastery approach. This enables the children become confident in their maths skills through using practical resources and pictures. Children are encouraged to make connections between different areas of mathematics so they are able to make independent decisions. When the children are confident, they engage in challenges that encourage the children to reason and explain their mathematical thinking.
