We have many exciting learning opportunities planned in Year 2 and we are so looking forward to being inquisitive learners with you. We will be learning from different questions, maybe you will have your own questions for us to investigate? Our first question in the Autumn term is ‘How far can you go?’ We will be learning about the human body and considering what an amazing thing it is. We will be exploring how to push and challenge ourselves and build up the resilience to becoming expert problem solvers! In addition to looking at ourselves we will explore people from the past and discover when, where and how Florence Nightingale challenged herself and learn about the impact of this many years later.
Hello everyone, My name is Miss Goddard. I have had the pleasure to be a teacher at Wath C of E for the past 4 years. I have experience in teaching Year 1 and Year 2. It is always fun and exciting to teach the children every year. I’m very passionate about my job, teaching and learning about each individual child is very important to me. We always have great fun making memories together.
My interests outside of work involve spending time with family, especially with my nieces and nephews as I have a strong bond with them all. I enjoy going on adventures, long walks and finding new places to visit. I am also a big animal lover having rescued and owned many different animals. I love reading when I have the time. As JK Rowling would say ‘I do believe something magical can happen when you read a good book’.
Hello, my name is Mrs Winstanley. I was very happy to re-join the team at Wath C of E last September after living abroad for the past three years. I have worked in lots of different education settings in various countries. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and watching them progress, whilst helping to bring out the best in each and every one of them. When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my family and going for walks in the countryside with our dog Henry. I also enjoy watching my son's play rugby and baking cakes with my daughter.
Hi, I’m Miss Senior and I’m going to be the teaching assistant in Y2G. I have worked at Wath C of E School for 6 years which is a very special place to me, much like a second home where more family live. I am caring and kind with the ambition to help every child to reach their full potential in whatever they do. We will have lots of fun and create great memories that will last a lifetime as we journey through year 2 together!
I have a very busy family life outside of work too. My two children and Ace the dog love to go on lots of outdoor adventures. We usually spend our weekends exploring natural beauty spots with a picnic and most important… CAKE!!
I can’t wait for the new school year to begin so I can get to know you all. Until then, have fun, be safe and I’ll see you soon x
